Q: How much time does SFAD take?
A: Through Lock and Roll automation, SFAD trades on its own, following your parameter-based rules. It's always a good idea to check on your account, of course, but the system will trade without requiring any time from you.
Q: Is SFAD risky?
A: All trading involves risk, and naked options have theoretically unlimited risk. But the Lock and Roll trading platform monitors your positions 24/7/365 using your rules, sizing, and parameters to control risk. Losses can and will occur, but the software is designed to keep them manageable and infrequent compared to gains.
Q: Which instruments can I trade?
A: The Lock and Roll trading platform currently uses the TastyTrade API, so any futures contracts available are fair game. We currently load price data for /CL, /GC, /ES, /NQ, and a few others. If you want to trade something that is not listed, please get in touch. We will happily accommodate you.
Q: Do I need to predict price?
A: No. We value rules and position management over prediction. No one knows where the market is going to go, so we play a different game where we win without attempting to predict the future.
Q: Does SFAD replace my current system?
A: Not necessarily. Many traders will augment their existing strategies with SFAD to diversify their income streams.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much time does this take?
You can copy the trades in a couple of minutes. When the market cooperates, you won't spend any time at all. On those days where a trade is challenged, you will need some time to close a trade or roll to a new position. Overall, though, this type of trade demands very little time out of your day.
Is this risky?
All trading involves risk, so, in that sense, yes. But we trade credit spreads with limited risk, but we never want to allow the full loss. So we will close a challenged position early or roll it, in order to minimize the risk. Losses can and will occur, but the system is designed to keep them manageable and infrequent compared to your gains.
Which instruments do you trade?
At this point, we focus on /ES (S&P500 futures). We have traded /NQ (NASDAQ) in the past and may revisit that, though the risk is higher.
Do you try to predict price?
No. We value rules and position management over prediction. No one knows where the market is going to go, so we play a different game where we win without attempting to predict future price or even direction. We do take note of support and resistance in an effort to improve our probabilities, but our primary guidance comes from option market pricing and greeks.
Does this replace my current trading strategies?
That is entirely up to you. You can augment your directional, price prediction-oriented trading with Daily Bread income, or you can focus solely on our high-probability income methods.
What kind of account do I need?
You are free to trade this system at any broker that allows you to sell credit spreads on /ES futures. You can use a margin account or a retirement account, though you will need to check with your broker to determine what requirements they have.
Does Daily Bread really make money?
Yes. We have sustained losses, of course, because there are days when the market goes beyond what the options market expected. However, overall, we win about 90% of the time, and the total gains have exceeded the total losses since May, 2025, when we began.
